My status on CRIS has changed. No emails. Its says my approval has been sent. But nothing about the card. I spoke to the CS and they said my biometrics have to be uploaded. In the mean time can I get my passport stamped?

Also issue of discrepancy of EB2-I and EB3-I is raised first time that is after Aug VB. But I think it will fade away after oct VB when normal processing starts as diff in PD between EB3 and EB2 will be 1 or 2 years and each category will have equal Visa numbers for 9 months.
Also the issue of recapture was raised when in 2005 the dates were retrogressed . But I think the issue will fade away after 2014 when most of the categories will be either current or near current.
PS; I am a strong proponent of recapture but such insensitive post to EB3 plight deserves such a response.

My I-485 was filed on July 2,2007 as an employment based application. My wife, xxxxxx, application was filed as a derivative applicant. It has been over 4 months and I have not yet got an apointment for finger printing. I called up USCIS and got a response from Nebraska Service center, where my application is currently pending, that my case is waiting for an opening at local ASC.
We, residents of Bay Area, are suffering a lot from fingerprinting backlog, due to presence of few ASCs.
Also, my case was receipted at CSC and transferred back to NSC. Such cases are taking unusually longer for FP appointments. This is quite frustrating as there are other people directly receipted at NSC in August who have got fingerpinting.
I would greatly appreciate if you could take steps to speed up the process of fingerpinting appointments.

maybe there are not enough EB3- I cases in the queue ;) ..well one of my friends did get his GC during last fiasco ..eb3 - I, pd 2003. ofcourse there is no unity ..it is every man for himself (And hence save as much as you can while you enjoy life)..and hence don't worry too much ..GC will come when it has to (my friend told me that once ..and I found those words comforting) ...see few of the threads nearby ..people are content talking about dots (I guess since they know nothing will ever happen due to our actions :-) ..and I sort of agree).
I also guess there are not much cases of EB3 left, atleast till PD dec 2002. Jun filers who ever did not get their GC last summer or fall will be waiting.

I am just trying to see if NSC could go past the I-485 received on 06/01/2007. Many folks whose application was received the first day got receipt and receipt#. Is there anyone who applied later and got the receipt or receipt#.

how about sending it to Michael Chertoff and Condelezza Rice??
IV core cannot "officially" endorse this... We are on our own.
As for sending flowers to Chertoff or Rice - It is good but let us stick with one person for now (Emilio). Unless you are willing to send to all three :). It will seem like there is more unity amongst us if we send more "number" of flowers.
