On the one side you have the EB2. Earning more, and better educated. Clearly more important human beings to IRS and society. On the other we have EB3 Junta trying to get what they think is their right to spillover.
Now I understand all your points and agree with all of them.
Only 1 question :D why is IV not fighting to increase the regular (non spillover) quota for the clearly better category EB2. This is clearly not fair such super humans having to share same numbers as lower categories. Lower categories should go to Bombay where there is one apartment which is still empty.
Or better still get rid of the EB3 category altogether. Problem is solved! :D

It seems that the delay was cause by the USCIS itself. It should have made known to applicants where to "correctly" send the application such as if your I-140 was approved in TSC, send your application to TSC. What happened was a lot of applicants sent their application to NSC, but was transferred to TSC. This cause a big delay in Receipting.
My application was sent to the right Service Center. Therefore, I believe, this resulted to my Receipt Notices being received according to the USCIS Receipting Update.

Congrats! Can you please tell us where your I140 was approved from. Are the checks cashed?
My I140 is pending with NSC since Jan 2007. My attorney issued the checks, So I don't know whether the checks cashed or not.

If Yes, i will really appreciate if you can contribute and help us in any way. This is an organisation run by people like me and you, who have full time jobs and have families also. If we all can take out some time out of our busy lives and try to help IV, then everyone will know about IV.
When we say we need to convince people, which is ridiculous, as i am 100% sure, everybody knows whats going on. We all are suffering and are here fort he long haul. If still people dont want to do anything, then no one can help us.

Most desis are not even aware about this organization. I bumped into it via google search for my immigration answer. So lets throw some ideas around for better advertisements.

As mentioned in my earlier post, address on my husband's I-485 was changed by USCIS system wrongly to attorney's address. We were wondering whether the documents went to old address or attorney and thank god our attorney has received it today and we will get it tomorrow. As for me and my son, still waiting...

If you really wanted to correct the so called misinformation I am spreading why do you have to start with things like "IV member know that you don't want to volunteer"? Is this is supposed to intimidate me or you just trying to spin information for your own cause?
Please understand that I am not against what IV stands for and what the members do. What I don't agree with is the way some immature Senior members do by loosing their cool. Cutting off peoples thoughts and ideas in not right. I would go futher to make a bold suggestion, " IV has to screen these so called senior members for maturity before making them members who carry the message"
I am not blaming anyone here, but moderation in their temper is expected off the senior members in any place not just in this forum. Intimedation and threats have always resulted in the downfall of the whole group, history would teach us that.

Without a grassroot effort none of the other constituents would have been effective. You mention about the AILA lawsuit "threat," well, why didn't they actually file the lawsuit? We agree that the lawmaker's letter was instrumental in the July visa fiasco reversal. We had an unprecedented San Jose rally by legal immigrants. You need to get serious and need to contact your state chapter leader to get some more information about IV.

Agreed that H-1B has a fixed date. But from the employer standpoint, you're their "full-time, permanent" employee on H-1B, right?

Employer sponsors GC so that employee that is temporarily employed on H-1B can become permanently employed on GC job.

Hello everyone
Wanted to let everyone know of my experience. I dont physically have my card, but there is an approval notice on the USCIS website.
Priority date October 20th 2005
I opened a service request on Monday August 16th. The person on the other end of the line was extremely polite and nice. I told him I had a speaking engagement in Canada (which is the truth) and that if my case was expedited, I would not have to apply for a visa. He given me a SR number and asked me to wait for 30 days which I was prepared to do. However my case status changed online on August 19th. I am unsure as to whether this was because of the service request or things would have taken this route anyway.

IV is not biased against any EB category. Their goal is to have process so that everyone gets GC in one year from date of application. These categories are set by USCIS. IV is currently in process of detailing solutions to end this misery of all EB category. More details can only be find in your respective state chapters. We cannot disclose details on the public forum. I will urge you to join your state chapter so that you are aware of what all IV is trying to do. IV is not trying to make system work for EB2 or EB1 but for everyone. There are lot of solutions, but we need to lobby and for that we need volunteer. Remember IV is not a corporate who has people working on its payroll and getting revenue. All of us need to contribute and volunteer. Trust me the day all of us (at least number of people blogging currently) join their state chapter and volunteer couple of hours in a month, you will not need lobby. The public voice be enough to convince Hill and House to pass a legislation.
